ENQUIRE NOW

Prof Michael Craig

Professor Craig graduated with honours in Psychology from the University of Bristol, where he developed a deep understanding of human behaviour and mental processes. He went on to complete training in several psychotherapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This foundation in psychological theory and therapy continues to inform his clinical practice, supporting both his direct patient care and his ability to make well informed referrals for more specialised psychotherapy when appropriate.

He later completed a degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of London, followed by specialist training, funded by an MRC (UK) Training Fellowship, in Psychiatry at the Maudsley Hospital and in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at St Mary's, St Thomas' and Guy's Hospitals.

From Our Clientele

Professor Craig made all the difference to our family through his incisive diagnosis of a complex set of medical issues and his consistent follow up with us and another physician. He is that rare practitioner who has ‘the gift’. We are grateful to him.

Professor Craig genuinely changed my life after the first session. He has continuously been there to offer support and treatment through the years I have been a patient. I have recommended him to so many people, who have all had great experiences. I really feel like I struck gold when I found Professor Craig.

Professor Craig is one of the most talented psychiatrists I have ever met. He is calm, unassuming, and takes the time to process everything carefully to ensure he gives you the best solution. He is both kind and professional, with a very down-to-earth approach. His way of prescribing medication is very clever – often tailoring and combining treatments to achieve brilliant results. I always feel cared for and secure, confident that he would respond extremely well in a crisis situation. Having seen a fair few psychiatrists over the years, I can honestly say he is by far the best.

Professor Craig has been a huge help with my depression and anxiety. He really listens, explains things clearly, and made me feel comfortable talking about my struggles. He’s guided me through medication in a way that feels supportive and not overwhelming. I’m so grateful for the positive changes I’ve experienced thanks to his care.

Professor Craig has genuinely made a huge difference in my life. I’ve seen other psychiatrists before but none have made me feel as truly understood and supported. He has a deep understanding of ADHD and his approach is both compassionate and practical. I always leave our sessions feeling more grounded and hopeful. If you're neurodivergent and looking for someone who really listens, can communicate clearly and knows how to help, I highly recommend him.
